Robert E. Tucker, Ph.D., J.D., is president of Rob Tucker Consulting. For over 20 years, he has provided a wide array of consulting services for professional organizations and associations, in the private and public sectors.
He currently serves as both a Trial Consultant and an Attorney. He was an Assistant Professor of Speech Communication at Iowa State University and the Director of its Forensics Program. He specialized in persuasive techniques for business and organizational communication at the University. Drawing on that experience, he now consults for professional and academic groups on all levels of organizational advocacy and persuasion.
Born in Seattle, Washington, Rob resided in Ames, Iowa since 1984. In 1991, after he graduated from Drake Law School, he moved to Ankeny, Iowa to practice law. Prior to his current activities, Rob held teaching positions in Speech Communication at Iowa State University, the University of Arizona and the University of Oregon. He also provided training in Argumentation and Advocacy at those institutions.
He presently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Speech Communication from Gonzaga University, a Master of Arts in Speech from the University of Oregon, a Ph.D. in Speech Communication from the University of Arizona, and a J.D. from Drake University.
Rob has dedicated his professional life to the twin pursuits of Communication and the Law. As both a Communication and a Trial consultant, he is uniquely trained, experienced and positioned to offer consultation regarding how persuasion and advocacy can be made effective in modern business organizations.
