LaGrandeur, Christy K.

I was born and raised in Pierce County. But for two years in New Mexico, I lived in Pierce County until I was eighteen.  I was born in Tacoma, lived in Lakewood and Eatonville, and attended Covenant High School (most have never heard of it, but you will find it if you go anywhere near Remann Hall).  My favorite experience in High School was attending court for my senior civics class.  It was that day I knew I wanted to become an attorney.  Because my school was so small and had no sports, I got to play soccer for Foss.  I then left Tacoma to attend the University of Washington and cheer on the Huskies.  Unfortunately the football team imloded my junior year.  After college, I moved to Michigan to attend law school.  My short time in Michigan made me realize just how great Washington is.  Not to disprage Michigan in any way.  It was working for the public defender in Ann Arbor that made me realize that I belonged representing people accused of crimes.  The system can steam roll a person and the only person who is standing there to stop it is your attorney.

I moved back to Tacoma to work for the Armijo Law Office for 3 years before going out on my own.  I now have my own solo practice and enjoy the one-on-one contact I have with my clients.  I look forward to continue growing my practice and being apart of the community I grew up in.
