Mr. Armando Lacasa concentrates his practice in government relations and business transactions, with a special emphasis on international acquisition, development and finance projects.
Mr. Lacasa is “AV” rated by Martindale Hubbell. He served as City of Miami Commissioner and Vice Mayor, as secretary of the Association of Hispanic Investment Bankers and as a director of the Spanish-American Basic Education and Rehabilitation program (S.A.B.E.R.), a U.S. Department of Labor-funded program focusing on the development of vocational skills for Spanish-speaking members of the Miami community. Mr. Lacasa is a former chairman of the Little Havana Development Committee, a former member of the Economic Opportunity Board of Dade County and the Dade County Boundaries Committee. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, where he served a three year term as chairman of the Latin American and Caribbean Law Initiative Counsel (LALIC), an also served as a member of the ABA’s International Advisory Committee.
Mr. Lacasa is a member of the Florida Bar. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of St. Thomas de Villanova in Cuba in 1959. He also attended Georgetown University Foreign Service School and the University of Florida in 1977.
