Louisiana business and insurance law attorney, Jennifer Treadway Morris, has served construction industry businesses, self-insured employers, entrepreneurs and small business clients throughout Louisiana from Greater Baton Rouge to Greater New Orleans and the North Shore since her admission to the Louisiana Bar in 1994.
Treadway Morris is a former assistant professor of Professional Practice at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University. Treadway Morris also served as a Judicial Research Attorney for the Honorable Vanessa Whipple, Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal.
Prior to teaching, Treadway Morris litigated with a Baton Rouge law firm, where she concentrated in the areas of insurance and business law, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, and workers' compensation defense litigation. She served as a consultant for the revision of Group Self Insurance Fund laws and regulations. She also obtained USL&H licenses for several Group SIFs and was lead counsel for several Group SIFs on appeals of Insurance Department compliance audits.
During law school, she was a Dean Hebert Scholarship recipient, Chancellor's List member, Co-chairman of the Flory Trial Competition, Student Bar Association representative, and received the American Jurisprudence Award for UCC Security Devices. Following law school, she obtained financial (Series 7 and Series 66) licenses and Louisiana life, health, and accident insurance licenses.
Her practice now concentrates in providing comprehensive business and legal advice to the business entreprenuer. She focuses on commercial transactions, regulatory law, construction law, business formation, trademark, copyright, and employment law.
She is currently on the executive board of Catholic High School Mother's Club and board member of Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge.
