Constance Travanty represents federal and private sector employees in a variety of employment and discrimination law matters, including race, gender, age, and disability discrimination claims, adverse actions, wrongful termination, and employment contract disputes.
She is licensed to practice in Maryland and represents clients in matters before Maryland state courts as well as in administrative proceedings before federal agencies including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB).
Ms. Travanty earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her law degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law where she was a staff member of The Catholic University Law Review. While in law school she served as a law clerk for an administrative judge at the EEOC drafting decisions in employment discrimination cases and as an intern at the MSPB drafting appellate briefs in appeals of adverse actions. She also worked as a student attorney at the Columbus Community Legal Services General Practice Clinic where she represented clients in child support, custody, and public benefits matters.
