Edward T. Krumeich is a Greenwich native who graduated from Hamilton College (A.B. 1972), with Honors in English Literature, and from Case Western Reserve University School of Law (J.D. 1975), where he was an Editor of the Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. Upon graduation he served as Law Clerk to Judge Anthony J. Celebrezze of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (1975-77). From 1977 to 1983, he practiced with Webster & Sheffield, a prestigious New York City law firm. He returned to Greenwich and joined Ivey, Barnum & O'Mara in 1983.
Mr. Krumeich's principal areas of practice are litigation, real estate, construction and employment law. He is a member of the American, Connecticut, Fairfield County and Greenwich Bar Associations, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American and Connecticut Trial Lawyers Associations and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Krumeich is a past President of the Greenwich Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York and before several federal courts.
Mr. Krumeich is also very active in civic, charitable and governmental affairs in the Town of Greenwich. He served seven terms as a member of the Board of Estimate and Taxation. He has been Chairman of the Board of Social Services and a member of the Representative Town Meeting.
Mr. Krumeich has been lead or sole trial counsel in over twenty five cases that have gone to verdict in the state and federal courts in Connecticut and New York. Mr. Krumeich has also argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Connecticut Supreme Court and the Connecticut Appellate Court. Mr. Krumeich has also been sole counsel in over ten arbitrations that have resulted in awards confirmed by the courts.
