Jessica A. Travis attended Stetson University and majored in Psychology. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Travis was involved in the Trial Advocacy Team, and continues to be involved in the Trial Advocacy Team by coaching current students in national competitions.

After earning her J.D., Ms. Travis was admitted to The Florida Bar. Before joining KEL, Ms. Travis served as an Assistant State Attorney in the 9th Judicial Circuit of Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, she prosecuted cases ranging from second-degree misdemeanors to first-degree felonies and was responsible for all motions, hearings, depositions, and trials related to her cases. While working at the State Attorney’s Office, she handled more than 30 jury trials and countless adversarial hearings.

Jessica Travis is an Associate Attorney at KEL. She manages the criminal defense division. She is committed to providing the firm’s clients with the solutions and strategies they need to address each individual situation.
