Jennifer recently joined Hale Skemp and practices in the areas of family law and criminal defense. She comes to La Crosse after practicing at the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office for five and a half years, where she was assigned to the sensitive crimes unit. While in Waukesha, Jennifer handled complex criminal cases and many jury trials. Prior to the District Attorney's Office, Jennifer worked in a small law firm in Milwaukee where she practiced in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation.
Jennifer graduated from Marquette Law School in 2006. In 2000, Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and criminology from Marquette University. After undergrad and during law school, Jennifer worked as a victim specialist in the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office, specializing in domestic violence cases. Jennifer has intimate knowledge of issues related to family law and criminal cases, as well as extensive litigation experience.
