Lissa Koop joined Heller Ehrman in 2006, and has a litigation practice.
Ms. Koop was a summer associate in Heller Ehrman's Madison office in 2005. During law school, she was a student attorney in the Consumer Law Litigation Clinic and the Legal Assistance to Institutionalized Persons program, where she represented clients in a variety of civil and criminal matters. She also worked under a grant from the U.S. Government and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs writing memoranda on democracy-building issues which were used by constitutional drafting committees in Iraq and Sudan.
Ms. Koop serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Community Justice Inc., a non-profit legal services organization, and is a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County.
