Michelle E. Kouba is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Chicago office. She focuses her practice on all aspects of domestic and international trademark law, as well as domain name, Internet, copyright, advertising, and unfair competition law.
Ms. Kouba?s practice includes transactional, enforcement and litigation matters. She has experience handling proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, coordinating foreign trademark enforcement and litigation on behalf of clients based in the U.S. and abroad, as well as protecting proprietary rights on the Internet including domain name disputes. Ms. Kouba also counsels clients on all aspects of brand management, including selection, clearance, registration, use and enforcement of trademarks. She regularly manages intellectual property portfolios, including handling trademark prosecution matters and pre-litigation policing programs.
During law school, Ms. Kouba was awarded the 2009 Robert and Clytia Chambers Award in Patent Law. She also earned CALI Awards for Excellence (denoting highest grade) in Intellectual Property and Antitrust Seminar, Patent Law, Copyright Law, Transactional Drafting and Marital Dissolution.
