Howard Thigpen was born in Jackson, Mississippi on August 14, 1973. He is married with two children. Mr. Thigpen received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy, Political Science, and Sociology from the University of Mississippi in 1995. Thereafter, he received his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in May of 1999.
Mr. Thigpen is admitted to practice in Mississippi, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the Mississippi State Bar, where he is active in the Alternative Dispute Resolution section as well as the Fee Dispute Resolution Committee. In addition, Mr. Thigpen is a court-approved mediator with the Mississippi Supreme Court as well as a certified arbitrator with FINRA.
Mr. Thigpen concentrates his litigation practice on representing individuals who: (1) have been abused or neglected in a nursing home; (2) were injured as a result of medical malpractice; or (3) have experienced wrongful death as a result of someone else’s negligent actions. He has experience litigating-to-conclusion jury trials, bench trials, as well as arbitrations.
