Christine R. Thompson supports the firm's Personal Injury Litigation practice area and concentrates her practice in the representation of plaintiffs in medical malpractice, class action, product liability, motor vehicle and other complex, serious personal injury actions.
At Todd & Weld, Ms. Thompson is deeply involved in the firm's personal injury practice. She has participated in all phases of the litigation process, from intake to serving as co-counsel at trial in Superior Court. Her experience includes coordinating large-scale document reviews, drafting discovery documents, and researching legal issues.
Ms. Thompson brings a diverse, well-rounded legal background to Todd & Weld. Before joining the firm, Ms. Thompson worked as a law clerk for a transactional law firm in Maryland. During law school, Ms. Thompson was an intern to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court, where she observed and participated in several trials and motion sessions. Additionally, in the summer of 2004, Ms. Thompson clerked at a transactional law firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she gained an international perspective on the law and honed her Spanish language skills.
Ms. Thompson received her B.A. from Wellesley College in 2001 and her J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 2006. While at Suffolk Law, Ms. Thompson was the Executive Editor of Transnational Law Review where she published a note on cyanide and gold mining. She also won multiple academic awards at Suffolk Law, including two Jurisprudence Awards, which are given to the person receiving the highest grade in a law school section. She is a member of the Massachusetts and Maryland bars as well as the Massachusetts, Boston and Women's Bar Associations.
