Prior to attending law school, Kevin worked for several years as a Human Resources Manager for an employer with over 500 employees. As a Human Resources Manager, Kevin dealt with employee relation's issues and helped ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). While in law school, Kevin was a staff member of the Kansas Law Review and competed in the Moot Court competition in which he won an award for Best Brief and finished as a Quarterfinalist in the Oral Competition. Kevin was also a recipient of the Payne and Jones Lawyering award, and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Bankruptcy. Since becoming an attorney, Kevin has specialized in the practice of employment law and in particular has experience litigating discrimination and retaliation claims. Kevin has also handled cases arising under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
