Michael Chad Taylor grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, and St. Simons Island, Georgia, and attended law school at Mercer University. Practicing law since 1999, Chad first served the State of Georgia as an Assistant District Attorney in Waycross and Savannah for four years, before becoming the Chief Assistant Glynn County Public Defender in 2004. When that office became a State agency, Chad continued as the Chief Assistant for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit, handling several thousands of cases in a five-county circuit, and serving as lead counsel or second chair in over fifty jury trials, including seven Murder trials. His main practice areas are criminal defense litigation in both State and Federal Courts; domestic law, including divorce, child custody and child support; estate planning, estate administration and probate litigation; business law and civil law, including personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice. He has significant appellate experience, including several reported cases in the Georgia Court of Appeals.
