Ms. Kirkley has been in the private practice of law since 1987. Currently, her practice includes the representation of individuals as well as insurance companies and their insureds in a wide variety of matters, including claims for personal injury and property damage and the representation of utilities concerning claims for property damage to facilities. Ms. Kirkley also represents individuals in a wide variety of family law matters such as dissolution of marriage, child support, and primary physical care of minor children.
Ms. Kirkley is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the American Bar Association, the Iowa Defense Counsel Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the Linn County Bar Association. She is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars.
Her outside interests include volunteering at the University of Iowa College of Law as judge for moot court and mock trial events and Immaculate Conception Parish. She also enjoys biking, hiking, reading, and chess.
