Mr. Taub brings to the practice of law a wealth of experience beyond the courtroom. A former artillery officer in the U.S. Army, he also spent five years in the airline industry, working for such respected carriers as KLM and Continental Airlines before entering the legal profession. These experiences afforded him the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Central America and the Pacific, where he developed a keen sense of personal commitment and accountability toward others.

"Working for an Airline," Mr. Taub asserts, "whether in reservations, airport positions or flight crew, is essentially a customer service job. Airlines are part of the 'service industry,' a phrase we hear so often today. That is where I developed my passion for working with the public and for assisting and helping people with their problems and concerns. Even though the practice of law has a long tradition as distinguished profession, I consider it to be an extension of the service industry. That is what we do at Omrani & Taub - we assist people who need our help and rely on our expertise and experience to help them resolve their legal problems."

Admitted to the New York State Bar since 1997, Mr. Taub treats his clients with respect and dignity, lending a compassionate ear to their individual stories as he handles their case from intake through trial.

"Perhaps the most difficult decision the lawyer and client make together is whether to settle the case or proceed to trial. Often, it is in a particular client's best interest to avoid a lengthy trial and negotiate a pre-trial settlement. After discussing their individual needs and goals, and fully informing them of their legal rights, I remind my clients that it is I who works for them, (they do not work for me), and that I will abide by their ultimate decision to settle or proceed to trial. My job, at that point, is to ensure that my client's decision is a fully informed one, as I guide them through the legal system," and to zealously represent their interests, whether in settlement negotiation or at trial. "

Mr. Taub reminds his staff that, as a personal injury law practice, most of the firm's clients are involved in their first (and hopefully only) encounter with the legal system. Suddenly, they find themselves going up against sophisticated insurance companies and their in-house team of lawyers. As the injured parties only lawyers, our job is to level the playing field.

Mr. Taub states "I am extremely proud to call myself a plaintiff's personal injury trial lawyer, and to identify myself as a professional who champions the rights of the people, as opposed to large corporations and insurance companies. While the legal system we have may not be perfect, it is by far the best system our there, and I will always fight to keep our system intact, just as I will always fight the good fight for the rights of my injured clients.

Mr. Taub is admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of the State of New York, as well as the Federal Courts (U.S. District Courts, Southern District of New York and Western District of New York). He presently resides in Whitestone, Queens and maintains a permanent home in Buffalo. He was recently recognized as an outstanding member of the business community when he was appointed to the Presidential Business Commission, which affords him the opportunity to lend his ideas and advocate for positive social changes by working directly with our government in Washington, D.C. He is the proud father of a teenage daughter, Jasmine, a budding actress who has already appeared in off-Broadway musical productions. He is also an avid reader, chess player, piano player and living-room composer, and enjoys playing golf and tennis (mostly with his daughter) in his spare time.
