Cheryl has litigated hundreds of cases, handled 20 appeals, and tried over 25 cases to verdict. She represents fiduciaries, beneficiaries, businesses, individuals, and financial institutions in the California state courts and in the federal courts.
Cheryl was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 30, 1953. She received her B.A. cum laude from San Diego State University in 1976. Before attending law school, Cheryl earned a teaching credential and taught for five years. She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1984 and was a member of the San Diego Law Review. Cheryl has given presentations and authored articles on various litigation topics.
Cheryl is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California. She served as chair of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the San Diego County Bar Association, and is a Master in the William B. Enright Inn of Court. She is also a member of Lawyers Club of San Diego and the North County Estate Planning Group. She recently served as a member of the University of San Diego Law Alumni Board of Directors.
