Mark D. Kiefer was raised in Lakeville, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1994, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism. Following graduation, Mr. Kiefer worked in the water treatment industry and was a member of the Water Quality Association. He attended the University of Kansas School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2001. While at KU, he served as a member of the Journal of Law & Public Policy and earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Business Associations II. Mr. Kiefer is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Kansas. He is a member of the Wichita, Kansas and American Bar Associations. Mr. Kiefer practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, civil litigation and real estate.
