James R. (“Jay”) Kimmey received his Bachelor of Arts With Distinction in December 1996, from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he majored in political science and was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. He received his Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law in 2000, and also completed the school’s Employment Law Certificate. He was a recipient of the Eastman Public Interest Fellowship and served as a Judicial Intern for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in St. Louis. He specializes in labor and employee benefit law for public and private sector unions, and Taft-Hartley Trust Funds. Mr. Kimmey is admitted to practice before State courts in Missouri, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, the Southern District of Illinois and the Seventh and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
