Matt Szwajkowski is a commercial litigator whose practice encompasses a broad array of complex matters. Matt has experience in defending civil lawsuits and government inquiries in connection with issuances of securities and other financial products, and he has litigated numerous contract disputes, bankruptcy actions, and suits in the products liability arena. In addition, he has assisted with litigation stemming from failed merger agreements and corporate transactions and has rendered prelitigation advice in connection with acquisitions of patent license portfolios.
Matt's experience also extends to antitrust work, and he has taken a lead role in defending clients sued under various federal consumer rights statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Electronic Funds Transfer Act. He maintains a substantial pro bono practice as well and has assisted several Firm clients in securing asylum and permanent residency in the United States.
Matt is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Northwestern University Alumni Admissions Council.
