Heather Swan concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions involving purchases, leasing, and landlord-tenant matters. She represents both landlords and tenants in negotiating and drafting leases, amendments and assignments, as well as maintenance of the landlord-tenant relationship during the course of the lease. Additionally, Ms. Swan facilitates the purchase and sale of real property through contract negotiations, as well as handling related matters such as setting up separate entities through which properties will be purchased. Ms. Swan also provides general corporate and business representation to small businesses.
Ms. Swan joined the firm in 2004 after obtaining her J.D. from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law in May, 2004. Prior to that, Ms. Swan served as the firm's law clerk during her final year of law school. She also served as a student attorney for the Columbus School of Law's nationally-ranked Advocacy for the Elderly legal clinic. Ms. Swan received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University and gained additional legal experience prior to and during her law school career by working for a Washington, D.C. boutique litigation firm. She is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland.
