Robert Swanson graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2000, with B.S. Degrees in Health Care Administration and Legal Studies. While at UCF, Robert was involved in Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and the Order of Omega. Subsequently, he attended Stetson University College of Law earning his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 2003. While at Stetson, Robert was active in the Health Law Society and completed both the Health Law Practicum and Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic. In addition, Robert was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.  Robert also received a Certificate of Concentration in Health Law. Robert was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003.

Since Robert's admission to the Bar, he has practiced exclusiviely in administrative law in the State of Florida. The majority of his time has been spent representing Employers, Carriers and Third Party Administrators in Workers Compensation matters. He has previously worked for one of the largest Workers Compensation defense firms on the west coast of Florida and two of the most respected workers compensation defense attorneys in the State of Florida. Robert has represented Employers, Carriers and Third Party Administrators in all levels of workers compensation matters, up to and including appeal. In addition, he has represented Employers, Carriers and Third Party Administrators in civil courts around the state in several Rule Nisi hearings.

Robert joined Thorne & Storey, P.A. in 2010 to continue his interest in representing Employers, Carriers and Third Party Administrators in Workers Compensation matters. Robert is a member of the Workers Compensation Section and Young Lawyer Division of the Florida Bar.
