Kevin J. Sullivan, Jr. is a counsel in the Real Estate Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2003.
Practice
Mr. Sullivan has represented clients in a broad array of transactions, including the acquisition, development, leasing, financing and disposition of apartment complexes, office buildings, laboratory and R&D space, shopping centers and senior living facilities throughout the country.
Mr. Sullivan also advises landlords and tenants in connection with the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial leases of retail, office and laboratory properties, and has significant experience in land use and zoning matters.
While attending law school, Mr. Sullivan was a law clerk in the clerk's office of the Supreme Judicial Court for Suffolk County.
Recent Highlights
- Represented a national REIT in the acquisition and disposition of office, laboratory and industrial properties, including an approximately $600 million office and laboratory campus and an approximately $95 million office, laboratory and industrial campus, both in the Cambridge area
- Represented a Boston-based capital management firm in the acquisition and disposition of senior living facilities in California, Washington, Ohio and New Jersey, including analysis and coordination of licensing matters and negotiation and documentation of interim management and sale-leaseback structures
- Represented a local developer in the permitting, acquisition, development and financing of a new retail and residential complex containing market-rate and affordable housing at Ashmont Station in Dorchester, employing transit-oriented development principles
- Represented a major big box retailer in connection with land assembly, land use and zoning matters in the New England region
