Robert G. Sullivan joined the Firm in 1972 as a clerk to the legendary negligence trial attorney, Harry Lipsig. A 1973 graduate of St. John's University School of Law, he was admitted to the Bar in 1974, and quickly distinguished himself as one of the top trial attorneys in the state. From the beginning of his legal career, Mr. Sullivan has been instrumental in developing and expanding the law of negligence. Mr. Sullivan became a named Member of the Firm in 1976 - just two years after being admitted to the New York Bar. One year later, in 1977, Bob was admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court. He has received numerous multi-million dollar verdicts on behalf of injured New Yorkers, including a $22 million verdict against the City of New York, and a $4 million verdict in Suffolk County for a deliveryman whose fall over a concrete footing was claimed to have resulted in traumatic exacerbation of multiple sclerosis. Bob Sullivan has shown his ability to try cases involving multiple plaintiffs and defendants including his representation of the widows and children of six firefighters killed in a Waldbaum's Supermarket fire in Brooklyn. He has earned an unparalleled reputation for defending the public's interest and championing equal justice under the law. Mr. Sullivan has been recognized as one of the leading trial lawyers in America in several publications, including, The Best Lawyers in America.
