Mary Strother is a special counsel in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Business Trial Group. She joined the firm in 1996. Ms. Strother serves as Deputy General Counsel for the firm, working with the Ethics Committee and assisting with risk management issues.
Practice
Ms. Strother focuses her practice on products liability defense and general commercial litigation. Her experience includes defending pharmaceutical, drug and medical device clients against claims of defective product, negligent manufacture, negligent design and breach of warranty. She also has experience representing companies subject to criminal investigations, and has assisted companies in conducting internal investigations.
Following law school, Ms. Strother clerked for the Honorable Stanley F. Birch, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and for the Honorable William H. Orrick, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Ms. Strother received a JD from Columbia University School of Law, and an AB in English from Princeton University.
Ms. Strother is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the First and Eleventh Circuits and the US District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia, the District of Massachusetts and the Northern District of California.
Professional Activities
Ms. Strother is a member of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers and the Boston Bar Association's Ethics Committee.
