Keehfus, Jason E.

Christopher Straw is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2008.

Practice

Mr. Straw’s practice focuses on patent litigation and strategy at the trial and appellate levels. He has represented clients in patent disputes involving a variety of technologies, including mobile communications, pharmaceutical products, integrated circuits and electrochemistry. His practice has encompassed all facets of litigation, including discovery, settlement, trials and appeals.

Recent Highlights

• Second-chaired appeal to the Federal Circuit in a patent infringement case
• Participated in all aspects of a multi-patent case pending before the International Trade Commission, including extensive briefing and depositions
• Represented a Fortune Global 500 company in achieving favorable settlement of ANDA litigation following expert discovery
• Represented a battery manufacturer in an appeal to the Federal Circuit
• Represented a disabled veteran in an appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims

Past Experience

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Straw was employed for a number of years as a software engineer, including serving as a Senior Software Engineer with Excite@Home.

Community Involvement

Mr. Straw serves on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
