Keefer, Roy A

Dan Kaufman is a partner in the Chicago office, Co-Chair of the Class Action/MDL Team and a member of the Labor and Employment Relations and Education Practice Groups, and the Trade Secret Protection and Non-Competition Team. He served on the Management Committee from 2000-2003 and as Managing Partner of the Chicago office from 1996-2000 and from 2005-2010.

Mr. Kaufman's practice entails all aspects of employment and business litigation, as well as employment law. He is experienced in class action and multi-party litigation. Mr. Kaufman also has represented educational institutions in a wide variety of matters. He handles cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts and before administrative agencies. He also counsels clients and has conducted workshops on employment issues, including non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements, the hiring and firing of employees, employment issues in business transactions, discrimination and harassment, privacy issues in the workplace, supervising and disciplining employees, wage and hour claims and avoiding litigation.
