David J. Strachman has been practicing for over 20 years with a primary emphasis on family law, elder/probate law, and litigation. In the family court field his practice focuses on contested matters relating to divorce, alimony, custody, visitation, paternity, and adoption. He also has extensive experience in the state's Probate Courts primarily involving guardianships, elder law, estate administration, will contests, and other contested probate matters.
Beginning in 1999 David was part of a team of lawyers who brought suit on behalf of terrorism victims against the Palestinian Authority, PLO, Iran, Syria, and Hamas. These cases have led to a series of judgments for over a half a billion dollars.
David is an adjunct professor of law at Roger Williams School of Law and the University of Massachusetts School of Law and a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education programs.
