Marsha Stolt practices in the area of intellectual property law, including trademark, copyright, and unfair competition. Her practice includes counseling clients in the adoption, protection and enforcement of trademarks in the United States and worldwide. She has extensive experience with international laws relating to trademark and copyright protection and in the management of large international trademark portfolios. She also has extensive experience in the enforcement of trademarks, including proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and domain name enforcement actions, having prevailed in numerous actions for clients under ICANN's Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). Her practice also includes counseling clients on the appropriate use of trademarks and copyrighted materials in advertising and on the internet, as well as negotiating and drafting license agreements, assignments and other agreements relating to intellectual property.
Before joining Moss & Barnett Ms. Stolt practiced with the national intellectual property firm of Fish & Richardson and prior to that was an attorney in the intellectual property department of the firm of Dorsey & Whitney.
Ms. Stolt is admitted to practice in Minnesota and is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and was a member of the U.S. Legislation Subcommittee. She is also a member of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association.
