Christina S. Stokholm began her career in the banking industry in 1991, having most recently been employed as the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Business First National Bank in Santa Barbara, California. In her various banking positions, she worked closely with attorneys and developed a strong interest in the law. In 2000, after serving on a civil jury in Ventura and observing the legal system in action, Ms. Stokholm decided that she would become an attorney. She enrolled in the law degree program at Ventura College of Law.
In 2003, Ms. Stokholm began an internship as a law clerk for the Public Defender of Santa Barbara County, who was the lead defense attorney in a highly-publicized arson/homicide trial. When that trial was over, she was invited to remain and become certified to represent clients under the supervision of the Public Defender. As a certified law student, she represented numerous individuals, most of whom were juveniles charged with crimes. She also argued a case before the California Court of Appeals.
In late 2003, Ms. Stokholm began working as a law clerk for the four partners of Schley Look & Guthrie LLP in Santa Barbara, each partner specializing in a different area of civil law (corporate law, civil litigation, real estate/probate, and intellectual property).
In August 2005, during her final semester of law school, she also began working as a law clerk for the Law Offices of Mark Pachowicz, and in June of the following year, she joined the firm as an associate attorney. She practices primarily in the areas of criminal defense, business law, and civil litigation.
