Jacob L. Stipp is the newest attorney to join Mitchell & Ellis, APLC. Mr. Stipp graduated in 2003 from Indiana University-Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice. Following his undergraduate education, Mr. Stipp worked for the Social Security Administration for several years, where he received extensive training on medical injuries and their short and long-term effects on human functioning. During his time with the SSA, he was also a union steward, handling grievances through mediation and arbitration. Mr. Stipp’s work as a union steward eventually peaked his preexisting interest in pursuing a career as an attorney.
Thereafter, Mr. Stipp graduated with his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California in 2010. While in law school, Mr. Stipp was in the Honors Lawyering Program and achieved Witkin Awards for the top grade in Civil Procedure and Practical Legal Writing. In addition, he earned Certificates of Specialization in Employment/Labor Law and Business Law, with distinction, and was presented with the Academic Excellence in Labor and Employment Law Award 2010.
Mr. Stipp also gained invaluable experience during law school while interning for a legendary plaintiff’s personal injury firm in San Francisco, The Cartwright Firm. Post law school, Mr. Stipp continued his unwavering devotion to plaintiffs, as he played an integral role in the work-up of elder abuse, wrongful death and various other personal injury cases for Berman and Riedel, LLP. Mr. Stipp is now focused on utilizing the wide array of skills he has developed through his education and work experience to vigorously advocate for the injured.
