Michael J. Karlin is an attorney in Southern California primarily working in the fields of Entertainment and Business law. Michael handles many matters in the Entertainment and Business worlds, and has a special focus on the independent film and music industries. Michael graduated with honors from Chapman University School of Law in May of 2010 earning his Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Entertainment Law.

Michael was admitted to the California State Bar in December 2010. He has been working at the Karlin Law firm since 2007, first as a law clerk and now as a junior associate. Prior to earning his law degree, Michael spent his time doing various jobs in the Entertainment industry including: working in the music department of KUCI 88.9 FM as well as producing and hosting a live radio program; working at a record label; managing and performing in a nationally touring indie-rock band; producing short films; and recording and producing local bands. Because of his experience on both the creative and business side of the Entertainment industry, Michael has a unique perspective that allows him to understand his clients needs and the best way to navigate the course of the Entertainment industry. Michael also has experience in working on Business Law Matters, Real Estate Matters, Personal Injury Matters, and Wills and Trusts. Before obtaining a law degree, Michael graduated with honors from the University of California Irvine with a BA in Psychology.
