Kastner, Eric C.

Kim Karras has been a partner of the firm since 1995 and has over 25 years experience practicing as a solicitor. Kim obtained both her Bachelor of Commerce degree and her law degree at the University of British Columbia. She articled with a large Vancouver law firm and began practicing in 1986.

As a solicitor, Kim's practice is concentrated in wills, trusts, wealth preservation, estate planning and administration, real estate, corporate and business law.

Kim is a registered trust and estate practitioner and has years of experience in estate planning, estate administration and the preparation of wills and trusts. She is a frequent instructor for the Continuing Legal Education Society in the area of wills and estates. Kim is frequently asked to speak to professionals in industry and community groups regarding wills, trusts and estate planning.

Kim oversees a large residential conveyancing practice and lectures frequently to loans officers, mortgage specialists and realtors in the area of real estate and mortgage financing.

In 2005 Kim was awarded the Independent Business Person of the Year by the South Surrey/White Rock Chamber of Commerce. Although not a Rotarian, in 2010 Kim received a “Paul Harris Fellowship” from the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Kim was born in Vancouver, is married with two adult daughters and has lived in South Surrey since 1992. She is actively involved in community affairs and in her spare time enjoys skiing and traveling.
