Sandi has extensive experience with appellate and class action litigation. She has drafted, for plaintiffs, class certification briefs that resulted in the certification of a nationwide class. She has also drafted class notice and opt-out forms and briefed the issue of the creation of subclasses. She has experience drafting a wide range of pretrial motions as well, including discovery, remand, and dispositive motions.
Sandi has argued before the Third Circuit and has been extensively involved in numerous pro bono cases, including negotiating a joint remand with opposing counsel in a disability benefits case and crafting arguments on the use of polygraph evidence for a pro bono death penalty case appealed to the Virginia Supreme Court. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the bars of the Fifth and Third Circuits.
