Eugene J. Julian received his B.S. degree in Economics with a minor in Philosophy from Wheeling College (now Wheeling Jesuit University) in 1964. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1967. He served in the United States Army in 1968 and 1969, having served 13 ½ months in Korea.
After returning from Korea, he joined the law firm of Patrono, Ceisler and Edwards. In 1971, he became a sole practitioner, having received an appointment as a part time assistant Public Defender. He worked as a solicitor for the Washington-Greene Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program. He also served as attorney for Children and Youth Services.
He created the Julian Law Firm, where his areas of practice include personal injury, workers' compensation, social security disability, family law, wills and estates, contract law and other general practice areas. He has been admitted to the PA Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth Courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western District of PA and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He is a member of the WCBA, PBA, AAJ, PA Association for Justice and WPTLA. He is a former elected council member for East Washington Borough.
He is a member of several organizations such as Knights of Columbus Council 1083 (past Grand Knight), Order of Sons of Italy, Primo Lodge 2800, The Travelers Protective Association of America, Washington Co. American Cancer Society Dinner Dance Committee and the Edwin Scott Linton Post No. 175 American Legion. He has been on the board of World Series Tournaments, Inc., which sponsors the Pony League World Series, for 16 years, and served as president for 6 years. He coached and managed girls softball teams for 6 years, Washington Youth Soccer, summer, travel and cup league teams for 16 years. He managed teams in Washington Youth Baseball, having served on its board of directors, as well as managing teams in the Pony, Colt, Mustang, Pinto and Shetland divisions. He was instrumental in the creation of girls Twist Softball having served on its initial Board of Directors.
He currently serves on several committees for the Washington County Bar Association including Law Day (Chairman in 1976), Fee Disputes, Winter and Summer Bench Bars, Social Activities and Public Relations. Mr. Julian also is a member of the Lawyer Referral Service and the Conflict Pro Bono Panel. He is Chairman of his High School Reunion Committee and is co-agent for his college class and coordinates his college reunions.
He will be celebrating 43 years of marriage with his best friend and partner, Evelyn, and they are the parents of 7 children and have 10 grandchildren, so far. When he is not working, he enjoys watching sports and coaching children in various sports or visiting his grandchildren.
