Jonas, Marie E.

After earning her law degree at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, Marie E. Jonas joined Phillips & Cohen LLP as a law fellow.

At law school, Ms. Jonas was editor-in-chief of the Berkeley Journal of International Law. She did research work for the International Human Rights Law Clinic and was a student advocate at the California Asylum Representation Clinic.

She later worked as a research assistant at the Public Good Law Center, where she focused on a case involving state consumer law brought by a coalition of consumer groups. As a summer associate for a San Francisco law firm, she worked on a pro-bono trial in a civil case involving negligent medical care that led to the death of a newborn child.

Ms. Jonas is bar qualified in California.
