Dawn Johnson is a consulting attorney in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department. She joined the firm in 2007.
Practice
Ms. Johnson focuses her practice on issues of e-discovery. Specifically, she works with other attorneys, litigation technology project managers, and paralegals on teams that manage electronic and other documents in large cases and investigations. Attorneys on these teams take a leadership role in the document control process, systematically tracking documents from preservation to collection and through review and production. They work with e-discovery vendors and their review and analytical tools; review documents; train and oversee other firm and contract attorneys who review documents; and partner with project managers to perform production quality control.
Ms. Johnson has direct experience with securities regulatory investigations and litigation. She has managed cases for some of the firm's largest clients involving investigations of accounting practices, financial institutions, pension funds and public companies.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Johnson had direct experience with a wide range of matters including family law, employment law and real estate.
During law school, Ms. Johnson served as a victim witness advocate through the Battered Women’s Advocacy Program at Suffolk University Law School where she counseled and assisted domestic violence and sexual assault survivors.
Ms. Johnson is a member of the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Association, the American Bar Association and Boston Bar Association. She has also served as a judge for the New Bedford Youth Court.
