Andrea J. Johnson joined Pitt McGehee Palmer Rivers & Golden, P.C. as an associate attorney in
September of 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Andrea served as a law clerk to the Honorable Victoria A.
Roberts, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Andrea attended law school at West Virginia University College of Law, where she was a W.E.B. Dubois
fellow, graduated in the top ten of her class, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law
school, Andrea was selected to serve as Executive Editor of Articles Selection and Symposium for the
West Virginia Law Review, the fourth oldest law review in the nation. In her role as Executive Editor,
Andrea assisted in creating and coordinating a three part lecture series entitled, Beyond Politics: A
Discussion of Health Care in America. This lecture series explored the disparities in health care for
persons of color and rural Americans. Additionally, Andrea tutored other students as a Teaching
Dean’s Fellow and Academic Committee Chair & Tutor for the Black Law Student Association.
Andrea grew up in West Virginia and relocated to Michigan in 2010. She enjoys exploring and
experiencing all the Detroit metro area has to offer, and is proud to be a part of PMPRG.
