Born in 1965, Mr. Spada was graduated magna cum laude from Boston College in 1987 and cum laude from Cornell Law School in 1990. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Spada was a litigation associate at Shea & Gould and in 1991-92 served as a law clerk to the Hon. Roger J. Miner, Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Following his clerkship, Mr. Spada joined LS&W in 1992 and became a partner in the firm in 1998. During 2001, Mr. Spada served as Deputy Head of Compliance at Reuters America, Inc., before rejoining LS&W as a partner in November 2001. Mr. Spada has been involved in representing clients in a wide range of civil commercial disputes, regulatory matters, corporate investigations and criminal matters. These representations have included complex securities, investment advisory and broker-dealer matters. Mr. Spada is a member of the Federal Bar Council American Inn of Court, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is the co-author of an article entitled "NYSE Amends Shareholder Approval Policy For Stock Option Plans That Benefit Officers and Directors." Mr. Spada was named in Super Lawyers in 2010.
