Andrea Weiss Jeffries is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2011.
Practice
Ms. Jeffries’ practice focuses on patent litigation. She has represented clients in a range of cases involving diverse technologies, including computer memory, multi-threaded software, database technology, pharmaceutical formulations, medical devices and wireless communications. She has litigated patent cases in various jurisdictions across the nation. Additionally, Ms. Jeffries has worked on numerous technology-related civil litigation matters in various other substantive legal areas.

Past Experience
Before joining WilmerHale, Ms. Jeffries was a litigation partner in the law firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP from 2002-2011. While there, she was a lead attorney for numerous patent litigation matters, and helped create and lead the firm’s Patent Litigation Practice Group. As an associate at Munger, Tolles from 1995-2001, Ms. Jeffries worked on various civil litigation matters. For a three month period in 2001, Ms. Jeffries served as a pro bono deputy city attorney and tried several cases to verdict.
After law school, Ms. Jeffries served as a law clerk for the Honorable Harry L. Hupp of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Professional Activities
Ms. Jeffries is a member of the Los Angeles County and Federal Circuit Bar Associations. She has also been a member of the University of Southern California Intellectual Property Institute’s planning committee since 2005, and is currently a member of the Patent Damages & Remedies Working Group Committee of the Sedona Conference.
