Upon graduation from law school in 1988, Mr. James served as a judicial law clerk to Judge John A. Terry of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Upon completion of his clerkship in 1989, Mr. James joined Schiff, Hardin and Waite, a Chicago-based law firm, where he specialized in complex cases including class action litigation. From 1992-1996, Mr. James was an Associate at the law firm of Judge and James, Ltd., in Park Ridge, Illinois, where he specialized in defending municipalities and businesses in litigation matters. Mr. James joined Laner, Muchin, Dombrow, Becker, Levin and Tominberg, Ltd. in 1996. His practice includes counseling employers and defending public and private sector employers in class action and other claims alleging employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, contract, labor and civil rights litigation.
