Lisa Jack is a counsel in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2005. Ms. Jack's practice focuses on both debt financing and bankruptcy-related litigation.
Practice
Ms. Jack has represented clients in various secured debt transactions, including the documenting of secured credit facilities as part of leveraged acquisition financings. She also has assisted clients in resolving a variety of UCC and debt-related matters.
Ms. Jack has represented clients in filing of proofs of claim for an array of matters, including commercially complex proofs of claim for several billion dollars. She has also worked on the buyer-side of section 363 sales.
Ms. Jack has frequently represented clients in bankruptcy and insolvency-related litigation. She has assisted reorganized debtors in defending against creditor claims. She also has assisted creditors and third parties in defending against litigation claims ensuing from complex and sudden bankruptcies, such as Refco, Sentinel and Enron.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Jack clerked for the Honorable Joan A. Lenard of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. While in law school, she interned for the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, Civil Division and for the Miami Dade County Attorney’s Office.
Prior to her legal studies, Ms. Jack spent six years as a business strategy consultant for Monitor Group of Cambridge, Massachusetts. She assisted clients with a wide variety of business decisions, including: restructuring operations to reduce costs and designing policies for retaining key employees.
