A former Department of Justice trial lawyer, Andy Jackson leads Dickstein Shapiro's False Claims Act Investigations and Defense Practice. He is also a member of the firm's White Collar Criminal Defense & Investigations, and Government Contracts Practices.
Mr. Jackson focuses on complex litigation, with an emphasis on defending clients against fraud and false claims allegations. He also has substantial experience in complex commercial litigation, including class action defense. Mr. Jackson has led litigation teams in state and federal court cases throughout the country, representing Fortune 500 companies in industries such as engineering and construction, information technology, pharmaceuticals, professional services, and shipbuilding.
At the Department of Justice, Mr. Jackson represented the United States in False Claims Act and government contract litigation. Before DOJ, he served as a litigation attorney with the Department of the Army, where he focused on government contract fraud cases. He was also appointed as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, where he prosecuted government contract fraud matters.
