Jacobs, Brian E.

Randall A. Smith, a member of the Firm, graduated Cum Laude from Occidental College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, double majoring in Political Science and Theatre Arts and Rhetoric. Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1984. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1984.

Mr. Smith has served as a Director of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Orange County Bar Association. He served as the Chairman of that organization in 1990, and served as Program Chair in 1989. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Smith's practice emphasizes complex litigation in state and federal courts as well as arbitrations and alternate dispute resolutions. Mr. Smith serves as a lecturer on various litigation-related topics on behalf of the Orange County Bar Association.

In addition to his professional involvement, Mr. Smith has served as the Constitutional Rights Foundation's sponsored coach of the annual Mock Trial team selected from the student body of Century High School in Santa Ana, California.
