Kimberly Irving distinguished herself early in her career at the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office. It was here that she was first assigned to the Sexually Violent Offender Union. Despite the overwhelming workload and frantic pace, she excelled in the high-pressured sex crimes division. She later moved to Virginia to work at the American Prosecutors Research Institute, working in both the Domestic Violence and the DNA Legal Assistance Unit, where she became an instructor on the use of DNA evidence. This experience gave her invaluable insight and knowledge for trial law work.
After a long string of courtroom successes in the Crimes Against Children Unit, Ms. Irving opened her own criminal defense practice, trying everything from speeding tickets to murders. Over the course of her career, Ms. Irving has amassed numerous prestigious awards and has tried and won many serious felony and sexually based offenses. She is one of a select group of Attorneys qualified by the Commonwealth of Virginia to handle Capitol Murder cases. Ms. Irving holds a Juris Doctorate from St. John's University, School of Law.
