John Smith is trial lawyer practicing in the firm's Litigation and Employment sections. In his almost 15 year career, he has successfully tried to verdict in excess of 20 civil jury trials and his readied for trial dozens more matters. He has conducted hundreds of depositions of opposing parties, fact witnesses and experts.

Representative of the types of cases John has worked on are those involving fraud, bad faith, personal injury, property damage, age, sex and race discrimination and retaliation, worker's compensation retaliation, improper construction, trespass, improper timber cutting, product liability and mold exposure. He has also represented beneficiaries in estate contests.

John is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in Alabama, the 11^th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is also a municipal attorney and is familiar with all aspects of municipal government in Alabama.
