After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, Bano went on to pursue a law degree. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2009 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Bano is licensed to practice law in Texas and Ohio. She is also licensed to practice in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Bano joined Slowik & Robinson in 2011. She currently handles a variety of immigration matters including Family-Based immigration, Naturalization, Deportation and Removal Proceedings, and Asylum.
Prior to joining Slowik & Robinson, Bano worked as an Associate Attorney at Ali Zakaria & Associates in Houston, Texas. She is a member of the State Bar Association and Texas Young Lawyers Association.
Bano's interest in immigration law came at an early age when Bano herself immigrated to the United States with her family. Bano understands the challenges of immigration and she is passionate about her work.
