Irby, John Hampton

Felice V. Iafrate is a graduate of the Detroit College of Law and was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Michigan and Federal Court in 1971. While he presently concentrates his practice in the area of family law, his diverse history encompasses business law, general civil law and criminal law. He has been active at both the local and state bar levels throughout his career. He is the former President of the Macomb County Bar Association and remains active in the Macomb County Bar. In that capacity he also developed the highly successful SMILE (Start Marking it Liveable for Everyone) Program which is a program that helps divorcing parents protect their children during the extremely painful divorce process.

He is a former member of the Representative Assembly of the State Bar of Michigan, a former member of the Family Law Section Council, a former President of the Italian American Bar Association, former State Bar Commissioner, a past member of the State Bar Judicial Qualifications Committee, a presenter at the Institute of the Continuing Legal Education, and member of the American Academy of the Matrimonial Lawyers.
