Michael A. lacono is an associate with The Ballow Law Firm, P. C. He is a 1985 graduate of Canisius College, where he earned his B. S. degree in business and a 1988 graduate of St. John's Law School, where he earned his J. D. degree. At St. John's he achieved a semi-finalist position in the Rev. Mr. lacono has extensive experience in all facets of personal injury practice, including automobile, premise and products liability litigation; He also has experience in corporate transactional and criminal work, as well as general insurance coverage issues.
Mr. lacono has lectured and is published on the topic of biomechanics and accident reconstruction regarding automobile actions and has appeared as a guest speaker on the WNED-AM 970 Law Line on the topic of personal injury actions in New York.
Mr. lacono has appeared and argued 29 cases in the Appellate Division, Fourth Department of New York and completed 24 jury trials to verdict in New York Supreme Court and Pennsylvania District Court.
Mr. lacono is a former member of the National Major Case Trial Unit, which included cases valued at over one million dollars. He is an active participant of Alternative Dispute Resolution, acting as a mediator and arbitrator for actions in the 8th Judicial District of New York.
Mr. lacono is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts of New York since 1988 and also Pennsylvania and Connecticut Courts.
Mr. lacono is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Erie County Bar Association, where he serves on the Negligence Committee, the Justinian Legal Society, and the St. Thomas More Guild.
He currently resides in the Town of Clarence with his wife and four children.
