Chad is a native of Sandy, Utah. After passing the Utah Bar, he moved to Logan, Utah where he became an Associate Attorney at a local firm. Chad is admitted to practice in all State Courts in the State of Utah. Chad is also Licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Utah. In December 2008, Chad became admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. On March 23, 2009, Chad was admitted to Practice before the United States Supreme Court.
Chad is a Graduate of Drake Law School (Juris Doctor, 2002), which is associated with Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Chad is also a Graduate of the University of Utah (B.A., English, special emphasis in Creative Writing, 1999). In College, Chad was a member of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society and the Golden Key National Honor Society. Chad minored in Russian. Chad is bilingual English-Russian. Chad is literate in English, Middle English; Lowland Scots, Middle Scots, Early Scots; Russian, Ukrainian, Byelorussian, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Macedonian, Bulgarian and Old Slavonic.
Professionally, Chad is a member of the Utah State Bar. Chad is associated with the Collaborative Family Lawyers of Northern Utah and the Northern Utah Estate Planning Council. Chad is also a Member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA).
Chad currently is serving in his first term on the Logan City Library Board. Chad is a Member of the Logan Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Chad's other interests include: model railroading, writing fiction, studying foreign and archaic languages (Including: Old English, Spanish, French, German, Welsh, Classical Latin, Classical Greek, Ancient Egyptian, Mongolian, Old Norse, Finnish, and Japanese), Naval History, rifle, pistol and shotgun marksmanship, camping, scouting and painting.
